Glenfiddich – Vat 01 Perpetual Collection Smooth & Mellow

Glenfiddich Vat 01 Perpetual Collection Smooth & Mellow is a Speyside single malt from the Perpetual Collection, made for the travel retail market. It is built on a Perpetual Vat system, in which the vat is never fully emptied and each new batch builds on the last. The whisky matures in American bourbon casks and European oak casks. The nose offers ripe pear, green apple and citrus, then honey, vanilla and light floral notes with a hint of oak. The palate is soft and creamy, with ripe pear, vanilla and honey, followed by toffee, light citrus and subtle spice.
