Glenglassaugh Portsoy is a peated Highland single malt, bottled at 49.1% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry, bourbon and port casks.
The nose combines coastal character with tropical fruit, herbaceous peat, toffee, milk chocolate and sweet soy sauce. On the palate, chocolatey malt carries grilled pineapple and treacle toffee, with sticky soy and smoky peat beneath. The finish brings maritime peat smoke, peppery oak and stewed berries, with seaweed, salted liquorice and chocolate-coated salted almonds lingering.
