This is a Highland single malt from Glenglassaugh, bottled at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from Sandend Bay, the crescent beach beside the distillery on Scotland's north coast.
The whisky was matured in bourbon, sherry and manzanilla casks. It has a summer gold colour.
The notes describe soft buttery vanilla ice-cream with tropical fruit, chocolate and a touch of sea salt on the nose. The palate brings salted caramel with pineapple, cherry and grapefruit, and the finish is long, with rolling spices.
