Glenglassaugh 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the distillery at Portsoy, Scotland, bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Rachel Barrie is the master blender behind it.
It is matured in bourbon, sherry and red wine casks, with the North Sea air shaping its coastal character.
The nose has ripe orchard fruits, vanilla, caramel and a hint of sea breeze. The palate shows sherry sweetness, juicy stone fruits and oak spice with a velvety texture. The finish is long, smooth and warming, with honeyed malt and a coastal minerality.
