Glengoyne 10 Years is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It matures in sherry casks made from both American and European oak.
Whisky was made at the distillery illegally at first, and it was officially founded in 1833. Glengoyne has long stressed that its barley is unpeated, so that the delicate aromas are not overpowered by heavy peat smoke. Ian Macleod Distillers Ltd bought the distillery in 2003, which keeps it in independent Scottish family ownership.
