Glengoyne – 12 Year Old (70cl, 43%)

Glengoyne 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle at 43%, bottled by the distillery. It was matured in a mix of first fill sherry, first fill bourbon and refill oak casks. Glengoyne sits right on the Highland Line. The spirit is distilled on the Highland side and matured in warehouses across the road in the Lowlands. The stills are run extremely slowly, which the distillery credits for a soft, fruity style. The official notes give coconut oil, honey, lemon zest and dried oak on the nose, and toffee apples, cinnamon, ginger, orange and shortbread on the palate.
