Glengoyne 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, at 43% ABV. It is matured in hand-selected sherry casks, which contribute to its rich golden colour.
The barley is dried by air rather than peat smoke, and the distillery describes its distillation as the slowest in Scotland.
The nose offers coconut oil, honey, lemon zest and dried oak. On the palate come toffee apples, cinnamon, ginger, orange and shortbread, leading to a well-balanced finish of sherry and soft oak.
