This is a 15-year-old Highland single malt from Glengoyne, a distillery founded in 1833. Its name comes from the Gaelic Glen Guin, meaning valley of the wild geese. The whisky was finished in Pedro Ximenez casks.
The nose joins malt with the sweetness of dark dried fruit and a hint of chocolate. On the palate are ripe dates, figs and plums, with cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa and soft sultanas. The finish is long, with date sweetness and light dried fruit notes.
