This is an 18 year old Glengoyne single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured with a generous proportion of first-fill sherry casks, and it replaced the distillery's 17 year old when the range was revamped in late 2012.
The nose is red apple and ripe melon, leading into hot porridge with brown sugar. The palate is full-bodied and rich, with macerated fruits, marzipan and walnuts, then warm spices, dry cocoa and Seville marmalade. The finish is long, warm and dry.
