This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from Glengoyne, in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Unhurried Since 1833 series and comes in its original box, which opens from the top.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is led by intense sherry notes with caramel, nutmeg and mint. The palate balances sweet and sour, with apricot, pear and orange alongside nuts and chocolate. The finish is medium in length, fairly dry, and returns to nuts.
