Glengoyne – 21 Year Old (Older Bottling)

Glengoyne 21 Year Old in its older bottling is a Highland single malt matured entirely in first-fill European oak sherry casks. It has a deep copper colour and comes in different packaging from the current black presentation. Glengoyne dries its barley by air and runs what is described as the slowest stills in Scotland, which is said to give bold flavours with a smooth spirit. The nose has red apples and toffee. The palate shows plenty of sherry influence with hints of honey and a cinnamon nip, leading to a long, warm, dry finish.
