A 21 year old single malt from Glengoyne, a distillery in the southern Highlands, matured in sherry casks. This limited release is from the 1992 vintage and was bottled in 2013 at 43%.
The nose combines intense sherried malt with blackberries, dark cherries and oranges, up to blood oranges, with jasmine, vanilla, cinnamon and espresso-like coffee. On the palate it is full of sherry, fruity and warmly spiced, with dark berries, cherries, juicy oranges, cinnamon, vanilla and coffee. The finish is long and very spicy, with oranges, dried fruit, cinnamon and vanilla.
