A 21 year old single malt from Glengoyne, a distillery in the southern Highlands, matured in sherry casks. It is a limited release from the 1997 vintage, bottled in 2017 at 43%.
The nose is of intense sherried malt with blackberries, dark cherries and oranges, some of them blood oranges, alongside jasmine, vanilla, cinnamon and espresso-like coffee. The palate is full of sherry, fruity and warmly spiced, with dark berries, juicy oranges, cinnamon, vanilla and coffee. The finish is long and spicy, with oranges, dried fruit and cinnamon.
