Glengoyne 36 Year Old Russell Family Cask is a single cask Highland single malt selected by three generations of the Russell family: Peter, Leonard and Tom. It was matured for 36 years in a refill sherry butt and bottled at 50.7% ABV, producing 402 numbered bottles.
The refill butt let the distillery's delicate, fruit-led character stay in front while adding depth.
Dried fruits, honey, toffee, polished oak and dark chocolate are joined by warming spices, roasted nuts and a little sherry sweetness.
