This is Glengoyne Cask Strength, Batch 009, bottled at 59.6%, the strength at which it comes from the cask. The batch is made up of one third Oloroso sherry casks and two thirds refill and bourbon casks.
The nose is baked lemon with sticky toffee pudding, malted biscuit, plum and hazelnut, plus a clear note of fresh apple. The palate is rich and full, with vanilla and fresh fruit moving to poached pears, cinnamon and a touch of honey. The finish is long, with Medjool dates, apricot, toffee and honey.
