Glengoyne Legacy Chapter Two is a Highland single malt released in 2020 in honour of Peter Russell and his family, who made sure the distillery stayed true to the tradition of its founder, Cochrane Cartwright, known as the Glengoyne Way.
The whisky was matured in a mix of 17% first fill sherry casks, 48% first fill bourbon barrels and 35% hand-selected refill bourbon casks.
The nose is full of vanilla and banana, maple syrup, peaches and coconut, with a fruit trifle character and hints of lime and mint. The palate is creamy and well balanced, with apple crumble, honey on toast, green grapes and gentle spice. The finish is warm and rich, with sweet oak and exotic dates.
