Glengoyne Chapter Three is part of the Legacy Series and is bottled at 48% ABV. It honours Sir Arthur John Tedder, the exciseman stationed at Glengoyne, who gave evidence to the Royal Commission on whisky in 1908.
The whisky was matured in American oak sherry casks.
The nose combines deep sherry notes with cinnamon sticks and vanilla, mixed berry jam, apple juice and a touch of pear. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with warm raisins and spiced buns giving way to smooth, creamy sherry. The finish brings dried fruit, pineapple, dark chocolate and spice.
