Glenkinchie 12 Year Old is a Lowland single malt and the flagship expression of the Glenkinchie distillery. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It shows the lightness and grassy character associated with Lowland whiskies, with hints of cooked fruit and Sauternes wine along the way.
The nose is light and aromatic, with barley malt, almonds, hazelnuts and manuka honey. The palate is very fruity, with stewed fruits, dessert wine, apple peel and honey, turning oaky late on. The finish is of medium length, with barley and freshly mown grass.
