Glenkinchie 27 Year Old is a Lowland single malt, sometimes called The Edinburgh Malt, and forms part of Diageo's Special Releases for 2023. It comes in a 70cl bottle at natural cask strength.
The spirit was distilled in 1995 and aged for nearly three decades, keeping the delicate, floral character the distillery is known for.
The nose offers ripe orchard fruit, heather honey, polished oak and a grassy freshness. The palate is silky, with vanilla bean, candied lemon peel, nutmeg, dried apricot and almond. The finish is very long, with sweet malt, a hint of sea salt and dry oak.
