Glenkinchie Distillers Edition 2022 is a Lowland single malt in a 70cl bottle, released as a limited edition. The Master Distiller selected a small number of Amontillado sherry-seasoned American oak casks to double mature the spirit.
The sherry finishing adds nutty, barley-like qualities to the grassy, floral character of the original Glenkinchie, whose distillate is fragrant and firm-bodied.
On the palate, sweet and dry notes sit in balance, with dried fruits such as grapes and dates and a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is long, with drying oak.
