A single cask Glenlivet distilled in 2007 and matured for its full term in a first-fill sherry hogshead. It is Whisky Sponge Edition 57, with 364 bottles, bottled at 53% ABV.
The whisky came off the cask at around 65%. It was reduced to 53% because that strength gave a juicier, more fruity character. The label artwork celebrates the Sponge's work gathering numbers for the great spreadsheet on the Whiskynet.
