This is a 25 year old Glenlivet single malt from The Sample Room Collection, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750 ml bottle.
It is finished in two kinds of cask: first-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry and Troncaise oak Cognac. The sherry influence brings sweet fig and blood orange, while the Cognac casks add warming ginger, toasted oak and a hint of charred pineapple.
The palate is rich, intense, silky and sweet, with the double finish adding depth. It closes long, rich and sweet, with spice.
