This is a Highland single malt from Glenlochy, distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2012 by Gordon & MacPhail in its Rare Old range. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Glenlochy Distillery was founded in 1898 and closed for good in 1983, after being shut and restarted several times. The nose is firm, with fruit such as apple and citrus, along with grass, nutmeg and other spices. The palate is dry and spicy, with wood and light smokiness. The finish is long and slightly sweet.
