This is a 13 year old Ben Nevis single malt, an independent bottling from Cadenhead's at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery stands at the foot of Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest mountain, in the western Highlands near Fort William. It was built in 1825 by John McDonald, a descendant of the Lord of the Isles. Production stopped between 1984 and 1990. Nikka took over in 1989, and distilling restarted a year later. The water comes from the Allt a Mhullin Burn.
