Coire Leis is a single malt from Ben Nevis, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is an original distillery bottling, matured in first fill bourbon casks.
The distillery lies at the foot of Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest mountain, in the western Highlands near Fort William. John McDonald, a descendant of the Lord of the Isles, built it in 1825. Production stopped between 1984 and 1990, and Nikka took over in 1989, with distilling starting again a year later. The water comes from the Allt a Mhullin Burn.
