Smoke leads, alongside the rich, fruity spirit style Ben Nevis is known for.
The nose has bonfire smoke, charred oak, citrus peel, sea salt and vanilla sweetness. On the palate come rich peat smoke, smoked barley, black pepper, caramel, toasted nuts and dark fruit. The finish is long, warming and smoky, with lingering spice, ash and sweet malt.
