Ben Nevis Coire Leis is a Highland single malt bottled at 46% ABV. It takes its name from the Coire Leis corrie on the north face of Ben Nevis, and it shows the distillery's malty, full-bodied style. The colour is deep golden amber, with slow, oily legs.
The nose is earthy, with malt loaf, toffee, honeyed cereal, baked apple, pear skin, lemon zest and orange pith, plus wet stone, pine resin and a touch of smoke. The palate is full and oily, with toffee, apricot, sultana, marmalade, cocoa, leather and building spice. The finish is long and warming, with oak spice, dark chocolate and a faint smoky dryness.
