Glenlossie – 40 Year Old 1982 Private Collection Gordon & MacPhail

This is a 40 year old Glenlossie, a Speyside single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Private Collection series. It was distilled in October 1982 and matured for four decades in a single refill American hogshead, #3398, before bottling in November 2022 at natural cask strength. Just 125 hand-blown crystal decanters were filled. The refill American oak lets the fruit and floral character of Glenlossie's elegant, understated spirit show, with balance and depth.
