Glenmorangie Companta is a Highland single malt from the Private Edition range, bottled at 46% and non-chill-filtered, with a cherry-red hue. It was released in 2014. The whisky first matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then received a wine finish in 60% Clos de Tart and 40% Rasteau barriques. Clos de Tart is a red Burgundy, while Rasteau is a sweet fortified wine made from Grenache. The nose combines chocolate and spice with truffles and forest floor, then red berries and toasted almond. The palate is big and spicy, with pipe tobacco, black pepper, ginger and stewed prunes. The finish is sweet and very long, with clove oil and muscovado sugar.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
