This is a 1997 single malt from The Glenrothes, a distillery at Rothes in Speyside, selected by Signatory Vintage and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a hogshead rebuilt from old bourbon cask staves and new European oak.
The nose is honeyed, with candied ginger and fresh apple. The palate is smooth and very fine, and the finish is notably long.
