This is a 16 year old Glenrothes, distilled in 2009 and finished in a Moscatel cask. It comes from Batch 20 of the Infrequent Flyers range, bottled by Alistair Walker, son of Billy Walker, and is bottled at 58.1% abv in a 70cl bottle. The colour is a pale rose gold.
The nose is buttery and creamy, with vanilla cheesecake, coconut milk, biscuit dough and almond praline. The palate is full of pastry notes: yeast buns, caramel custard doughnuts, chocolate with fruit and nuts, and ginger biscuits, with light, tingling spice.
