A 12 year old Glenrothes from Signatory, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 as a small batch at 48.2% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose combines sweet ripe fruit and dry wood with floral notes and a little vanilla. The palate is powerful and intense, starting with lightly sweet dried fruit and oranges, then bitter almonds, spicy oak and dark chocolate. The finish is long, oily and slightly dry, with orange, oak and tobacco.
