This is a 7 year old Glenrothes bottled by Adelphi from a first fill sherry cask. It was bottled in 2007, in an outturn of 300 bottles.
The whisky is very dark for its age, a result of the first fill sherry cask in which it matured.
Fruit and honey, typical of Glenrothes, appear on the nose and palate before the sherry cask takes over with intense dried fruit, oak and sherry sweetness. The finish is very long and warm.
