Glenrothes – 9 Year Old Single Cask Strength (70cl, 66.5%)

This is a 9 year old Glenrothes single malt, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 66.5% in a 70cl bottle. It matured throughout in a sherry butt and is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Despite the high strength, it is described as approachable rather than harsh, with raisin, vanilla fudge and cake spices. The nose offers raisins, coffee, walnut cake and chocolate icing. On the palate come crumbled vanilla and buttered raisin bread, followed by malt biscuits, candied orange peel and baking spices in the finish.
