A 14 year old single cask Glentauchers from North Star Spirits, part of its Obscurities & Curiosities collection and released in 2022 in a 70cl bottle. The malt was distilled at Glentauchers, near Keith in Speyside, in March 2008 and matured in an Oloroso sherry butt.
It was bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.2%, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
The tasting notes are playful: brand new tupperware on the nose, a sherry-soaked riding crop on the palate, and a thick, long finish.
