A 17-year-old Glentauchers Speyside single malt, distilled in 2008 and bottled for Woodrow's of Edinburgh as its Curator's Cut Edition. It comes from a single refill oloroso sherry butt, one of 304 bottles, at 63.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh and sweet, with strawberries, toffee, white chocolate and warm brioche. The palate is oily and rounded, led by caramel and milk chocolate, with croissant, ripe strawberries and soft stone fruit. The finish is long and warming, with lingering toffee and gentle ginger and nutmeg spice.
