This is a single cask Glentauchers, a Speyside single malt distilled on 11th March 1981 and bottled in 2006 at 25 years old. It comes from cask 1054 and was bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle under the First Cask name.
First Cask bottlings are described as drawing on casks picked for an older, woodier taste, with a touch of old musk. The notes give citrus, sweet fruits and nuts on the nose, a sweet malty edge on the palate and a good, long finish.
