This is a 7 year old Glentauchers from 2009, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Provenance range as a single cask. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. The whisky was matured in a refill hogshead, which gave 402 bottles. The nose is clean and subtly spiced, moving towards a gristy, soft citrus style. The palate is sweeter than expected, with sugars, honey, barley and syrup. The finish returns to the earlier spice, with warming cough drop notes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
