Glenturret – 12 Year Old 2024 (70cl, 46.4%)

This is a 12 year old Glenturret, bottled by the distillery itself at 46.4% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in bourbon casks. Glenturret calls itself the oldest distillery in Scotland, a claim that is not unlikely, since a distillery already stood on the present site in 1775. It has carried the Glenturret name since 1875. It lies outside Crieff on the River Turret and draws its water from Loch Turret. The distillery produces whisky for the Famous Grouse blend and puts that link firmly in the foreground, welcoming visitors to the Famous Grouse Experience.
