Glenury Royal 1970/2026 is a 55-year-old Highland single malt from the Diageo Rare Series. It was distilled in 1970 at Glenury Royal, which closed in 1985, and bottled in 2026 at 62.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in American oak hogsheads and European oak puncheons.
The nose is ripe fruit, honey and polished oak, with spice, leather and a fine citrus freshness. The palate is powerful and dense, with dried fruit, caramel, nuts and deep wood. The finish is very long, warm and spicy, with fruit, oak and a dry note.
