A five-year-old single malt whiskey from the Goalong Distillery in China. The malt is ground and saccharified, then fermented for 72 hours in a room held at a constant 16 degrees. Distillation is carried out three times in a traditional kettle-type still.
The spirit matures in oak barrels, which give it an amber colour and soften the strength of the high-concentration alcohol. The palate is soft, mellow and rich.
