This Connoisseur's Choice from Gordon & MacPhail is a single cask Speyside single malt, distilled at the Benriach Distillery in 1999. It was matured for 24 years in a single refill sherry butt and bottled at cask strength by Gordon & MacPhail in 2024, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is typically described as Brazil nut with Seville orange, lavender, raisin, baked apple and a hint of aniseed. On the palate come raspberry liquorice, prunes, ashy undertones, treacle toffee, ginger and charred oak. The finish is full, long and spicy, with lasting citrus.
