This is a 1993 Bladnoch in Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs' Choice range, an independent bottling from Scotland's most southerly distillery. It was matured in refill sherry hogsheads and bottled at 43%, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings lavender and citrus fruit, with delicate malty, cereal aromas emerging. The palate is sweet and floral, with dried grass. The finish is soft and smooth, with good cereal flavour and hints of cedar wood.
