Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Labels Mortlach 25 Year Old (70cl, 43%)

This is a 25 year old Mortlach single malt, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Distillery Labels range at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its colour is reported to be deeper than that of the previous 43% bottling. It is reportedly drawn from first fill and refill Sherry casks. Mortlach is known for worm tubs and a partial-triple distillation regime that is considered among the most complex in Scotland. The distillery style sits at the heavier end of Speyside: full bodied, meaty and rich, sometimes chewy, often with plenty of dried fruit.
