This is a Glen Grant single malt from Gordon & MacPhail, released as Edition 2 of the Mr George series and carrying the year 1957 in its name.
The whisky was filled into a Sherry cask in November 1969, and the cask shapes the character of the bottle.
The nose brings rich fruits and woody spices, with traces of wood polish and old leather. On the palate come dried figs, spice, plenty of wood and sweet fudge, with hints of bitter oak tannin. The finish is long, drying and lingering, with cinnamon, clove and walnut.
