This is a 70 year old Glen Grant single malt distilled in 1952, from Gordon & MacPhail's Private Collection. It was matured in a single first-fill sherry butt.
It was bottled on 6 February 2022 to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the anniversary of her accession.
The nose offers beeswax, ripe figs, toffee, orange zest, raisins and aged leather. The palate brings blackberry compote, clementine, milk chocolate, black pepper and a hint of wood smoke, all carrying through the finish.
