This is a 12 year old Grand Old Parr, a blend made by Diageo and bottled in the 2000s as a travel retail exclusive. It comes in a 1 litre bottle at 43% ABV.
The blend made its debut in 1909 and is now mostly seen in overseas markets, particularly Central and South America.
The nose is sherried, with orange, nutmeg, wine gums and vanilla, and water brings out a heathery, earthy smoke. The palate is chewy and juicy, with small jabs of citrus. The finish is long and mellow, cakey at first and then peppery.
