Habitation Velier Port-au-Prince 2021 (59%)

This is a white rum from the Port-au-Prince distillery in Haiti, made from Cristalline sugar cane grown at Saint-Michel-de-l'Attalaye. It was selected by Luca Gargano for the Habitation Velier range. It comes from a single fermentation batch and was distilled in 2021 in a pot still, in two stages. The rum is bottled at 59% and has an ester content of 289 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol. The nose and palate bring floral and fruity notes, leading to a soft, lingering finish.
