Hakushu Distiller's Reserve is a Suntory single malt from the Hakushu distillery, set deep in the forest on Mt. Kaikomagatake. This bottle comes in the older packaging, in 70cl at 43% ABV.
The whisky is gently smoky with herbal notes.
The nose brings pink grapefruit, galia melon, cucumber and fresh mint. The palate is clean and crisp with citrus, ginger spice, green apples and dried apricot. The finish is crisp, with gooseberry, lime curd and white pepper.
