Hakushu – Single Malt Distiller's Reserve (70cl, 43%)

Hakushu Distiller's Reserve is a Japanese single malt whisky, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made at the Hakushu Distillery, which Suntory built in 1973 in the forest of Mt. Kaikomagatake. Lightly peated and unpeated malts are blended to give a crisp, delicate and quietly smoky profile. The nose is fresh and green, with young herbs, mint, light smoke and citrus zest. On the palate come green apple, pear, soft malt, gentle smoke and a cool, mint-like freshness. The finish is clean and lightly smoky, with lingering citrus and fresh herbs.
